Anyway, I think it’s definitely confirmed - I’m in all probability going to Singapore next year(in February). Yeah I’m majorly excited. Doesn’t come with some bad news though. I’m MISSING OUT ON SOUNDWAVE!!!! which means….IM MISSING OUT ON NIN :(:(:(:( Yeah. I was majorly depressed when I found out the festival date was 4 days BEFORE I’m due to fly back to Perth. And there is no way I can come back early because I’m on exchange, and I’ll fail if I miss any classes. I mean seriously, NIN NEVER comes to Perth. EVER. And this is probably the only time they’ll ever come in a long long long long LONG time. And NIN is one of my favouritest bands too….so its like - how do I choose!?!? Go on exchange or miss out on NIN!!??!!??! Hard choice aye. Oh well. I’ll just go fly to america to see them sometime when I have the time and money.

Anyway, back to Singapore. For those that don’t know - its a 3 week TV and Video unit at Temasek Polytechnic…and its supposed to be really full on - like 9-5 every day and some nights and weekends. A few of my friends are from Singapore though, so we’ve already got people to show us round One of my friends has organized this trip to some island…I suppose its kinda like Rottenest, but yeah, should be fun!!! I might be flying there a week early with my friend and her friend whos going as well, so we can check the place out So yeah, that’s basically all that’s happened so far. I still need to book flights though - and hand in the forms. Just FYI - Singapore seems like such a police state - they want to know EVERYTHING from colour blindness, to your siblings, to what type of house you live in, to your monthly and yearly income etc. etc….its pretty funny. xD

HmHmHm. I’ll probably work for a bit before I go…you know with the whole ‘economic crisis’ I’m kinda rethinking bout quitting my job lol. I do want a new one though…..something maybe related to my course perhaps??? I’m going to do something productive in these holidays(4 months might I add) and including all the updatation that needs to happen on this entire site, I want to do something…i dunno..important!? Like…write something. Or win something. Haha. Not in the scam/promo sense, but like, art designs and stuff. yeah. That’s my goal for the holidays.

Anywho….stuff has been happening lately, just really little things that’ll probably add up later on. I don’t know about relationships after high school, but do you just find they all just kinda dissolve after a while?? Kinda sad if you ask me. But hey. It happens. I met up with an ollld friend yesterday(I seriously hadnt seen her since high school, which is about 2 years ago) and we talked about basically everyone we knew from high school and stuff. Some people have already done so much……and it is really weird because there are quite a few people at uni that we see but dont talk to. It’s weird haha.

But anyway. I found out someone had gotten cancer…someone that I’ve known for YEARS and used to be friends with but aren’t anymore. I suppose its kinda sad, but ya know - when you’re in primary school and you go to high school, its like your friends aren’t really your friends anymore. Like I used to be really good friends with this one girl in primary school. Actually we used to be friends with 2 other girls and the four of us would hang out all the time and go to each others houses and stuff…..Well a few years down the track, me and this girl are in the same tute and we don’t even talk to each other throughout the WHOLE semester. Offputting maybe…..but its just really…..I dunno how to describe it. Strange? We dont really have anything in common anymore, and to be honest, she just completely irritates me now. Guess some friendships just aren’t meant to last…

Anyway Im pretty much busy busy busy…should be doing my 3 frickin research essays but im just in a cant be bothered mood atm…really want to watch the matrix actually. Anyway yeah I have 3 research essays to do. Plus a stupid journal article. UGH. Goddam this uni semesters been busy.I swear to god when I finish I am going to update this website like MAD because everything about it is driving me crazy. Especially the unexplained and tutorials section…*cough*

Also im majorly sad because the aussie dollar has dropped soooo much its now really expensive buying stuff online…..SO DEPRESSING.

I havent actually been working on my site much lately anyways…too much to handle at the moment. The only thing Im looking forward to is finishing this godamned semester well. Oh and GOING TO SINGAPORE. Oh man. If i get to go….I cant WAIT. Its gunna be so much fun! But so much work!!! Its a 12 point unit…so yeah. But Ive already gota few ppl who can show me round so woohoo.

Hmm. Oh yeah. I’m seeing the living end next friday night at metro city. OVER 18s!!! HELL YEAH. And Brooke D’s fairy party the next day…hahahah. Its gunna be fun. I feel really bad atm coz I keep knockin my friends back coz they keep asking me to go out…I mean theyre all at the bar atm and im stuck at home on a friday night by myself…doing my 2489321473189543th ESSAY. ESSAYS ESSAYS ESSAYS. They just keep coming. UGH. God I feel like such a a loser.

Anywho I really do have to go and finish my work. Then maybe I can go and do something more enjoyable…like watch some z-grade movie on channel 10. That is the awesomeness of my life right now. -_-

But yeah. Exciting. If I DO get to go it’ll be a 3 week course in January at Temasek Polytechnic. We’ll be working heaps apparently and get to go the actual tv station and get some experience in the place which I’m looking forward to. And Janan lives there too so he can show us all around xD

Oh and we won our FIRST EVER netball game yesterday. I know hey. Amazing. But the team did have one less player so XD oh well.

Right now I have a 2000 word report, 1500 essay, 2 presentations and an image project (2 photoshopped images + 750 word essay) to do. SRSLY. Did I mention all this was due in in the next two weeks??? Anyway, I got one for my new personal blog which I will use to rant for just about anything (comment or mail me for the url…read the blog below if you really want to know why :P). its just really hard to express myself when people I personally know can read it….I dunno it’s just weird. Anyway if my wordpress backup doesnt work I might just export the xml and get a fresh installation…just because I really want to redo the tags and categories for this blog. Its so messy!!! I used to think tags and categories were the same thing XD

Anyway my other new domain is for my portfolio….just because I felt like starting it over again. It seriously needs a makeover =_= If you really want to know, the URL is http://ephereal.com. It’ll be up soon…whenever cPanel finally updates Fantastico so I can install and update Wordpress yet AGAIN. I mean, how many updates have they had in the recent months!?!?? Like 5!?!!??! My disk space usage has gone up a lot….70% of it is through the fantastico backups *_*

Anyway I had my first netball game today at uni. I hate Mondays btw. This semester my Mondays feel so loonnng its like I’m practically living at uni for the whole day. And I was so tired today coz I slept at like 3am on Sunday, surfing digg.com(god I LOVE that site).

So anyway, it was good catching up with everyone. We lost….yeah..big surprise…it’s sad and hilarious at the same time. We seriously fail. The teams we vsed today were pretty arrogant though….and the chick that I was up against kept pressing herself against me; I was like wtf!?!? I tried elbowing her 0:-)

So after that we went to Broadway and chatted….about how awesome the olympics is and how ‘olive juice’, ‘elephant’ and ‘colourful’ all look like they say ‘I love you’ when mouthed from someone across the room. Seriously guys, try it out at your next party. Like, if you’re in conversation with someone, look at someone across the room and say something like ‘Gosh that dress is so colourful!’ The person will be 80% guaranteed to give you a raised eyebrow look.

Also, did you know guys can’t pick up a matchbox with their mouths while kneeling down?? Roflmao. Its so weird. Something about centre of gravity or something….girls can do it but guys just can’t. So if you wanna win 5 bucks from someone you can use this little trick LOL.

Well uni’s boring as usual…feels like I have so much stuff to do. Its just so BLAH. I met up with Mai and Diana on Sunday for coffee in the morning..and we were talking about what we were going to do after whatever we were doing at the moment. Its weird because all my friends are doing different things and its funny seeing everyones attitudes from high school til now. Honestly, sometimes I wish I was back in high school. It really isn’t that bad now that you think about it…I mean its just so structured and organizes your life for you…what more could you want!? XD Plus the assignments werent exactly that hard. I mean looking back now, english lit essays are pretty easy compared to a friggin 3000 word researched essay on some stupid topic like Pulp Fiction(yes I hate this movie - SO overrated).

And the most important thing they dont tell you when you’re in high school? You can mess up completely and still do well for yourself after. Grades in high school doesnt necessarily have to set in stone what youre gunna do for the rest of your life - but I think a lot of people think of final exams as the gateway to the rest of their job centred lives. Which is kinda sad when you think about. I don’t mean to say grades dont mean much…coz they do…its just that its not the end of the world if you’re just doing average, ya know? If you do something you really like at the end of the day, I guess that’s what counts. Its pretty amazing where everyone goes after high school though. I mean its 2 years since I left and it feels like just last year.

I guess I’m looking for something more in life right now…its just assignments after assignments, plus pressure on what youre gunna do after uni…it kinda gets under my skin sometimes. Im so glad I finish next year - though I’ll probably be sad to leave when graduation eventually happens. There are things in uni I love - you can definitely learn a lot if you’re interested.

After I finish, I’ve already planned on going on some world tour with Monique….or Simone. I really want to go backpacking in America during summer so we can catch all the big music festivals - the festivals here are ok but when you look at the lineups in USA…WOW. I am SO JEALOUS. I mean 3 day festivals are unheard of over here!!!! And the 2 day festival down south is for acoustic country music which I’m not interested in =.= Anyway Big Day Out and Soundwave discussions have already begun on the bands that could possibly play here next year. I’m just holding out for NIN. NIN. NIN. NIN. NIN. NIN. OH GOD PLEASE. COME TO PERTH. Seriously, if they came….it would seriously be the best BDO EVAR. Even better than 2006 which had both TOOL AND MUSE. Wow I hope those NIN rumours are true. I dont know if they would play a BDO again though…but youcan hope ;-P Coldplay and Radiohead are also rumoured but theyre pretty meh for me. I’d prolly just see them just to say ‘yeah ive seen that crappy band’ 0:-) Haha. Last year was pretty  boring actually….only awesome thing about it was RATM LIVE and maybe the grinspoon mosh pit…man it was VIOLENT though. Simone lost one shoe, her mobile phone and her sunglasses in the RATM moshpit XD Yeah it really was that crazy. She had to crowdsurf out LOL.

Anyway this blog has kind of gone off on a tangent lol…I’m actually really hungry right now but I cant get food since its 2:30am and I’ll prolly wake everyone up xD Darn. Oh well. Have a good rest of the week guys!

We had to watch this movie at uni today called the Lady Eve. Its like some black and white screwball comedy and it was actually quite entertaining. My Reading Film unit has all these weird b&w cult noir movies that I would never watch so I guess it’s kinda eye opening as to the different genres and everything. I have to do a presentation on Sunset Boulevard in a few weeks and I have no idea what its about…the only reason I chose it was because it was the only one I’d heard of!!! But yeah should be interesting.

Oh yeah and I joined Rhianons netball team this semester - we’re called the Toxic Sausages -_- SERIOUSLY GUYS WHAT!? Lol. We had intros in one of my comm tutes and my lecturer actually knew about our team - he was like ‘oh apparently they’re really easy to beat’. ROFLMAO. How embarassing XD I still havent broken the news to Rhianon yet. XD

I really need to go to the library. I haven’t read a good book in AGES and I just really want to go now xD I dont have to go to uni tomorrow (woohoo) so I’ll be surfin the web a bit more…I know Im an insomniac but I cant help it!!

So uni started this week…all my classes actually looks quite interesting. Also, a lot of my units will be online so WOOHOO. I’m also going to be starting a blog for my women’s studies unit this semester - it’ll be on gender and identity on the internet etc. It actually sounds really really interesting, and it is something I’m interested in so hopefully it will be!!^^ I’m also doing a unit called Reading Film - we basically analyze a film every week. Well last week we watched a 40 minute film that was made of b&w photos….it was basically from the 1960’s or w/e  - called La Jette and it was the strangest film I’ve seen in a while. It’s French but yeah…its quite bizarre. Its about WW3 and this guy who doesnt know if hes awake or dreaming and he sees a woman but he dies at the end…I dunno it was kinda hard to follow. It reminded me of Abre Los Ojos. So that’ll be interesting to analyze…which reminds me, I need to print of my timetable. I am SO slack. xD

And I’m doing a communications unit, and a professional writing unit. So should be fun. xD Ha.ha. Anywho…I’ve been wanting to get some new headphones but I just haven’t really gotten round to it. I really need one with good bass. Preferably less than fifty bucks xD If my ipod dies I am so getting an ipod touch. I honestly don’t get the whole fuss over the iphone…I mean I can’t see myself using it at as a phone…but as an ipod heck yeah!!!

Oh yeah and I’ve also been thinking bout that tattoo. Most people said “oh yuck, just think about when you get older” so yes I have taken that into consideration. I’m still undecided. Maybe I’ll like draw on myself with permanent marker and see how that looks. XD LOL. J/K. Seriously. We’ll see.

Hmm. Well its the start of a new month…Olympics are starting soon….which by the way I think have had WAY too much controversy. I mean, it’s only inevitable politics will come into the whole sports thing but I think its great that its pressured the Chinese government into relaxing some of its policies, especially on the media and such. I just cant imagine how annoyed I would be if I lived there and had a site blocked..but I just don’t think politics should have this much of a mix with the event, ya know?? Like the whole pollution thing. Uhm, hello? They have like 2 billion people over there - thats a LOT more than what America or whatever has and they still have a lower carbon emission rate than some of the most highly developed countries in the world. And people still think they can attach the “oh they just don’t care about the environment over there” when they are coming up with a LOT more green solutions than other countries(hell in Australia, the government is STILL blind to the idea of solar and wind power - something which we have a LOT of). Ugh.

Anyway enough of that. I’m going to draw something now…or play keyquest on Neopets. I can’t decide!

This week’s been really slack. I’ve been sleeping in really late and sleeping late…like 4amish….im seriously nocturnal now!! Its pretty bad. But hey. Its the holidays. It was Monique and Simone’s birthday party yesterday night so we went over to their place, had a few daiquiris and talked, played buzz. It was pretty fun. Their younger friends came along from their work at HJ’s and we didn’t really talk to them coz they just hung out with themselves…I guess its weird knowing their younger than you, plus not knowing them in the first place. But yeah, whatever. They left soon enough xD The Living End is in September by the way - got the tickets last week. Awweessoomme. I still need to listen to their new album though.

We were talking about tattoos last night too - Simone wants to get another one and Eleanor does too….so it got me wondering if I would ever get a tattoo. And the answer to that is...I totally would!! If it was meaningful that is. I don’t want something that I won’t like 10 years from now - plus I want it to last forever not fade out or something. I actually have seriously been thinking about getting one…but I dunno I might chicken out or something haha. I hate needles. But I was thinking maybe quo vadis(where are we going?), memento mori(remember we/you are mortal) or verba volant, scripta manent(Words fly away, the written remains). Yeah I’ve thought a lot about this xD A whole two hours!!! I’ve been looking at all sorts of tattoo sites and it seems like fairies, butterflies and stars a really common for girls. I think some fairy designs look pretty but I dunno…it just seems so generic. Where would be a good place for a just a plain black text tattoo?

I was thinking maybe the inner wrist(I could cover it with my watch) or lower side of my back where I can also cover it up! haha. I have to talk to Simone about this xD And I also need to find out what kind of text looks good as a tattoo. Probably a cursive one??? I dunno. Or Times New Roman. Lol. Help me out here xD 

Well yeah that’s my new…uhm…idea for the day. I’m going to think about it for now and see how I feel later down the track.
