Vanilla Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C or 356 degrees F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Crack eggs in bowl, and beat one at a time
  4. Add in vanilla essence, then add flour and milk alternatively
  5. Beat until well mixed. Divide batter into a greased or lined muffin tin.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Ice tops if you wish - be creative!! Use cachous, sprinkles, flowers, shop bought frosting, marzipan, liquorice…man I feel like cupcakes right now.
