July 27th, 2008 | Start of a new semester

Well uni starts tomorrow..again…whoopee. Can’t wait. Hahah. Well, hopefully it’ll be a good semester…I’m looking forward to seeing what we’re doing this term anyway. I’ve been really slack though and haven’t dont anything at all….haven’t even printed out my timetable yet lol. Anyways…

This week’s been really slack. I’ve been sleeping in really late and sleeping late…like 4amish….im seriously nocturnal now!! Its pretty bad. But hey. Its the holidays. It was Monique and Simone’s birthday party yesterday night so we went over to their place, had a few daiquiris and talked, played buzz. It was pretty fun. Their younger friends came along from their work at HJ’s and we didn’t really talk to them coz they just hung out with themselves…I guess its weird knowing their younger than you, plus not knowing them in the first place. But yeah, whatever. They left soon enough xD The Living End is in September by the way - got the tickets last week. Awweessoomme. I still need to listen to their new album though.

We were talking about tattoos last night too - Simone wants to get another one and Eleanor does too….so it got me wondering if I would ever get a tattoo. And the answer to that is...I totally would!! If it was meaningful that is. I don’t want something that I won’t like 10 years from now - plus I want it to last forever not fade out or something. I actually have seriously been thinking about getting one…but I dunno I might chicken out or something haha. I hate needles. But I was thinking maybe quo vadis(where are we going?), memento mori(remember we/you are mortal) or verba volant, scripta manent(Words fly away, the written remains). Yeah I’ve thought a lot about this xD A whole two hours!!! I’ve been looking at all sorts of tattoo sites and it seems like fairies, butterflies and stars a really common for girls. I think some fairy designs look pretty but I dunno…it just seems so generic. Where would be a good place for a just a plain black text tattoo?

I was thinking maybe the inner wrist(I could cover it with my watch) or lower side of my back where I can also cover it up! haha. I have to talk to Simone about this xD And I also need to find out what kind of text looks good as a tattoo. Probably a cursive one??? I dunno. Or Times New Roman. Lol. Help me out here xD 

Well yeah that’s my new…uhm…idea for the day. I’m going to think about it for now and see how I feel later down the track.

July 19th, 2008 | Hypefest=Crapfest?

Well I saw The Dark Knight on Wednesday. And here I was thinking I’d prolly just see it on DVD or on some small airplane screen. We saw the 8:30 screening and booked only 2 hours in advance so it was kinda a last minute thing. Anyway it was just me, Monique and Simone; we had dinner at Nandos first then saw the movie. The queque was pretty long and when we got in there you could already hear the nerds getting all excited about seeing the movie xD After waiting about half an hour for the cinema ads to disappear, the movie finally started…and now to my thoughts. SPOILERS AHEAD —>

It was okay. I’m not saying its bad…and I enjoyed it but it wasn’t like, amazing. Let’s just say its not as life changing as everyone is making it out to be at the moment. I 100% agree Ledger should at least get nominated for an award - he basically made the entire film!! The problems I had with it was the length and development of the plot…at times it just seemed to be going everywhere and nowhere at the same time with pointless dribble and pointless scenes. Many of the characters left something to be desired, including the Joker’s. Maggie Gyllenhaal’s character was essentially pointless, and wasted. The ending was kind of boring to be honest, and the whole movie didn’t really have a climax at all…that said it’s very intense and very American. Hell, I snickered when Dent recommends the person in court to only buy american made guns. -_- THe only thing I liked about this movie was Ledger, really. Bale’s voice is comical to say the least and it just sounds too overdone. Well…that’s my thoughts about the film. Don’t kill me, Batman fans. x__x I’m not usually into superhero movies anyway so maybe that has something to do with it. Honestly…I enjoyed Spiderman 3 as a whole a lot more than TDK.

Now…its still holidays. I checked my uni results yesterday, and I got exactly what I expected - 3 credits, one distinction. All my marks basically sucked this semester except for english which I did pretty well in…but oh well. What can ya do right? I mean it’s disappointing…but apparently you have to suck up to your lecturer to get good marks (seriously, this is what everyone tells me). And its tried and proven by two people I know at uni who GIVE THEIR TUTORS CHOCOLATE for being good teachers?? I mean wtf…unless they’re really cool and unless I can talk to them about a lot of things I wouldn’t spend money on someone just to suck up to them…I mean its not ME. But apparently thats the way it works in uni. So maybe sucking up to teachers is a good idea after all… God uni’s stupid sometimes.

Anyway onto sitely matters. Did anyone else hear about the new .me domains at Godaddy? Man. I totally woulda bought aweso.me but apparently 8 other people beat me to it!! LOL. ugh. I’m thinking about doing a major revamp of this site. Like May-jah. Taking out some stuff, putting stuff in. I just wonder if anyone actually uses the free stuff on this site? I mean what do people really want to see on here anyway? More PS brushes? Coz that’s like the top hit on my stats thing LOL. Geez. People just love a free buck huh I just hate making stuff when no one can be bothered using them…ya know? Its not like I don’t enjoy it. Its just pointless for me if its just sitting there. Taking up bandwidth. And space. So yeah. I dunno. I already have seven frickin subdomains on this website and while it might not seem a lot - its a lot to manage and backup and everything. Moving hosts is going to be a nightmare!!

Btw I think I’ll be moving to Namecheap at the end of the year hopefully. Or I might just upgrade my plan at the moment..still undecided on that one.

I got a payrise btw!! I’m not on 16.72 thanks to casualness and awaness….hehehe. The work still sucks though. If I worked at IKEA full time I’d kill myself. Not really. METAPHORICALLY SPEAKING. lol. On a last note…I finally did Lin’s dress entry for her contest. So go check out her site and maybe enter yourself? ^^ Ok I gotta go now. Internet cuts out in seven minutes. YES D-LINK SUCKS ASS

July 16th, 2008 | Boredom

Yeah so the internet is working again. Don’t ask me how coz I have no idea. My brother reckons its coz its been on for a while and it heated up the connectors or whatever. Anyways, the new router came today…but I’m not even going to attempt to set it up. The internet’s working fine now, and ya know if it ain’t broke then don’t touch it xD

Anyway Malaysia was fun. It seemed really short though coz it was only one week. But we ate heaps and walked EVERYWHERE. The food there is so god though. And the things there are so cheap! We went to the supermarket and ended up getting like 200 ringgit worth of junk xD I think the people there were like whoamg. The exchange rate is really high right now though, espcially for australia! Great time to buy stuff ;-) 

I’ve been bumming around….while my internet was down I spent the time working on my fanlisting, which is now fnished. I got bored of the layout halfway through but decided to go on with it anyway. Also, that Enthusiast script could definitely be improved in relation to its user friendliness because I had to keep going to read the documentation to find out what the hell it was doing. Anyhow, it’s working now xD

I’ve also become addicted to these Hershey kisses things……they srsly taste really nice. You can buy like American and Japanese chocolate at the supermarket in Malaysia so I bought these reeses pieces things because apparently they’re really nice. Meh. I bite into one and you can see the fat in it xD But seriously. Americans have the best range of candy..it’s like you come to Australia and the only things you got to choose from is between cadbury, starburst and allens. =_=

Also, I’m going to the LIVING END in September. It’s at Metro City again, so I’m expecting to come out a little deaf after the concert. But heyy apparently their new album is really good! So yeah. I can’t wait. Because I miss going to concerts coz winter keeps me away from them. It’s over 18 too so NO MORE SHRIEKING TWEENAGE GIRLS IN MY EAR. Hallelujah. Last time there was this chick who literally screamed into my ear every 5 seconds. By the end of the night…that ear was incredibly deaf. So yeah. Ugh.
