Aiming Low

EDIT: I’ve been really bored and uninspired by my boring uni readings lately, so I’ve put up two new layouts. The Peace one I made because I guess some people just want to have a simple layout ( :!: ) and the 3D layout should be the one you are viewing now. I just spent like 3 hours drawing/coding all of the 3D one so yeah…I’m tired. It’s 3:15am. And I have work tomorrow…or today.

Is our new motto of the week. After all, there is really only one way to go but UP.We had netball yesterday night…and guess what? We lost. As in….we lost ~20~0 :!: Ben was like WHY IS THIS SO HUMILIATING and I couldn’t help but laugh. But seriously, it was the most humiliating thing ever…because we were up against this hell PRO team who’d obviously been playing for a while - while I had barely known most of the people on the team and we hardly play netball anyway so..yeah. I mean it was fun. I had fun apart from the fact that I tripped up once and now have this graze on my knee…but besides that hopefully we’ll be able to get better next time. Our teams called the Lemurs by the way. Which made it all the more hilarious…

I just came back from uni - had a two hour tute until 5 and I seriously wanted to go fall asleep somewhere under a tree. We were talking about Pulp Fiction today - for 1.5 hours straight - and since there were some people in my class who seem like they are pretty hardcore fans of the movie suggesting all these different analyses of the movie, I just kinda sat there and listened to their arguments. Because in all honesty I really couldn’t care less about the movie…I appreciate the dialogue and the irony in it but I didn’t really like the themes and how over analyzed it always is. Like - maybe the film isn’t meant to have a meaning - it’s just a movie which you watch once and forget about(which is what I gather from the title). ANYWAY I won’t go into a detailed analysis…because I’ll probably bore you. I guess I’m just in an analyzing mode because I have to write a presentation for English about our next text called Oracle Night by Paul Auster. I finished reading it today(finally) and I was really impressed with it. It’s a BIG difference in quality between this one and Calvino’s novel anyway. It’s basically about a novel in a novel in a novel…if you like postmodern stuff you will love this text. It’s got the best twist at the end!

Oh yeah, and my phone is definitely dead. I tested it with a new battery and it just buzzed and a light came on then nothing. So I guess I’ll have to get a new phone. I was thinking of getting the Sony K550i but I’m really not sure. I need suggestions.

    Sorry about your knee.
    And … Lemurs, haha!
I haven’t played netball in a while, too.

And thanks for your comment! :D
School started on 2nd January for me. x.x Yesterday was the first day of Term 2, and true enough, I almost died. But Term 2 is really short, we’ll soon have mid-year exams, and then a month holiday, and Term 3 and 4 and the REAL holiday, the longest holiday of the year, which is 2 and a half months. (But I guess I’d have to keep going back to school for extra lessons. GAH.)
And I think your layout is very pretty, too! I love the flowers and stars and glittery things near to the site name. <3

Hey, to reply to your question, I’d say WordPress is better, though Cutenews is easier. You can’t really get any add-ons or plug-ins for Cutenews, and I like plug-ins so I much prefer WordPress haha. Worth sticking to ;]
