The wonders of Google

| Trackback | Permalink | February 21st, 2008

Well I had to navigate my way through to Supre today - apparently there was some sale and so I went with Monique and Kelly. And I looked it up on Google - and it had the map right there for me to look at!! It even gave me instructions and the amount of time estimated to get there. For real. I can’t believe all this is on Google!! You could zoom in and everything!! I really need to get with the times lol…

Anyway I’ve spent most of the time today trying to figure out how to code this site. I’ve decided I’ve done it all wrong and I definitely want to fix this site up. So that might take a while. Not that there’s many visitors here anyway..haha. But just so it looks good. And I really need to get working on some new artwork. It’s been ages since I’ve actually done anything because I’ve been feeling so apathetic and having creative/writers block. So yeah. I’m hoping uni will stimulate me…when it starts in two weeks

I was listening to El Cielo last night and wow. I seriously had an epiphany listening to dredg’s music. It was about 2:30am and I had just finished a book by Sarah Zettel(an author I just found out about…she’s an awesome writer by the way) and I was like “I actually haven’t listened to my dredg CD much since I bought it” so I put it on and as soon as I heard the first song I was like drifting… And I was reading the liner notes at the same time because I had never bothered reading them before…and all of a sudden - all the lyrics make sense!!! xD Not that it didn’t before…but it just added so much more to it. Like for example, Sanzen. See, I never really got the meaning of this song until I read the note behind it. And it’s truly scary reading some of the notes people have written because I recall having a few dreams like them. Like you’re sleeping but you realize in you’re sleep that you’re sleeping, and you try to open your eyes but they just feel so heavy and you can’t keep your eyes open no matter how hard you try. And the buzzing sound most of them have…I’ve had. A few times. Like random ringing(I swear it’s not tinnitus…I know the difference) it sounds like a plane flying overhead but its not. I don’t know if you would call that sleep paralysis but from what is described…

And especially with the last one - The Canyon Behind Her. Wow. I read the note and I was thinking “Oh my god, this could happen to me”. Like you know when you turn off your TV at night and it all goes dark for a while before your eyes get adjusted? Well this person turned the TV off and got pitch black darkness. And then they were paralysed and couldn’t move and felt a presence in the air…and the sound. I was scared to turn off the light later on after I finished listening to the CD!!

Haha. Anyway that’s about it. I took some pics for you guys if you want to try reading them…you should seriously get the dredg CD El Cielo. I honestly used to think CWA was their best but now I’m not so sure. After getting the insight behind sleep paralysis…I’m just awed that they could make a whole album on it.
